What is OMGN?
OMGN is a website dedicated to bringing you as much information as possible about video games. OMGN is a video games resource, so we offer news, administration reviews of games, editorials, interviews, and a games directory. Other services on the website include, and are not limited to: a Top Games voting system, Membership, a Forum, and more.
What kinds of games does OMGN primarily focus on?
Once, OMGN focused only on online multiplayer games. These days, we will present information on any video game.
How do I view a list of games?
You can view a list of games by going to the Games Directory page and specifying parameters for a game listing.
Can I view all the games in the Games Directory?
To view every game in the Directory, go to the Games Directory page, but specify "Any" on all attributes. Simply select your Order and Sort method, and you'll get them all!
Can I submit information to OMGN?
Yes, you can submit just about any kind of data/content to OMGN. Just use the Submit link in our horizontal menu up top, then select the type of data/content you'd like to submit to OMGN. Upon a successful submission, an OMGN administrator will review your submission for inclusion.
Do you cost anything to use?
Absolutely not, OMGN is a completely free service! Even for Members.
How do I become an administrator?
You can become an administrator by emailing Robert F. Ludwick. Robert handles all administration requests personally. A good way to get your foot in the door as an administrator is to submit news, reviews, editorials, and interviews through the Submit page. That will get you started.
Does it pay to be an administrator?
Unfortunately, OMGN is only able to cover hosting, domain, and other administrative costs. We cannot afford to pay administrators at this time, but are considering it for the future.
Why do I have to register to use the Forum?
The OMGN Forum is registration-required because our Members section is built overtop of the Forum (A phpBB installation). That isn't the only reason, however. We have registration in place to avoid name spoofing in the community, and to actually help foster a community sense around here.
What browser is OMGN designed for?
Due to the time constraints on the OMGN administration, the website is designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and other browsers that support web standards. Netscape Navigator 4.78 has very poor compatibility with web standards, for example, so support for that browser in OMGN is not a reality. The site is designed to fit in a 1024x768 resolution. Millions of colors is also recommended.
What's this about membership in OMGN?
Membership in OMGN means you can chat in the Forums, make comments on any content here at OMGN, make Member Ratings of games, and a variety of other things. Membership is free. To register, hop over to the Forum, or go to the Members section and follow the registration link there.
What is the "views" information in some of the conent?
The information about views simply shows how many times that particular item has been viewed that day and throughout all of OMGN statistical tracking history. The "Total Views" number reflects views since March 10, 2005.
Why is there a blank spot on the Home page for me?
We have a Javascript-controlled Features box on the Home page along the left-hand side. If you're seeing a blank space there, you need to enable Javascript.
