What is your role here at OMGN?

Officially? Editor. Unofficially? I don't think anyone knows.

The question of "What is your role at OMGN?" is a question that haunts even me, even though I have been here for a few years.

Why? Because officially, behind-the-scenes here at OMGN, after our shake-up this year/last year (*delete as appropriate), the title of Editor hasn't officially got a Job Description. In fact, right now, the duties are pretty much "Manage the initial stages of content", and even that has been handling itself for a long time. So, why am I here? Because the OMGN position of Editor technically is a Project Manager. Keeping the Content Department working, stuck to deadlines, and ensuring that they have the support they need, when they need it. And because Robert Ludwick leans on me quite a bit. My second, unofficial title for a long time has literally been one of "Rob's Right-Hand Men".

When OMGN took quite a while of complete and utter silence last year, me and Rob were in discussion nearly throughout. I stood by, and tried my best to A) keep Rob focused, and his morale high (which I am not the best person for, of course), and B) get us back to full-strength. We're still not there, but we're closer than ever.

We've got a new site, of course all thanks to Rob. We have personalized forum software, again down to Rob.

And somehow, I've swung very far away from the main question. Will it ever get answered?

Stay tuned. I'll let you know if and when I find the true answer.

Oh, yes. Give us lots of money.
Maybe then I can get a wage...

You know, if I weren't getting my masters, even I'd have more time to write for OMGN. Garr!

This may be a good time to prompt our loyal readers to give us copious amounts of money so we can focus on OMGN 100% of the time...
