Flashquake Fall, 2007 Issue Online
Sci-Fi Webzine
By: Charles Rector | Other | 3:20am, October 20, 2007

I'm writing to let you know that the Fall issue of flashquake is now
online. This issue marks the start of our seventh year of
publication, and the issues seem to keep getting better.

This issue contains fiction from C. A. Cole, Tiah Marie Beautement,
Matt Plass, Abigail Elder, E. Denise Brown, James A. W. Shaw, Stefani
Nellen, Kai Lashley, Deanne M. Buffalari, Nina Schuyler, John Parke
Davis, B. J. Hollars, and Sarah Black; nonfiction from Karna
Converse, Lynn Baldwin Rhoades, Leah Sidell, Julie McGuire, Bob
Brill, Joanne DeMaio, Tay Berryhill, and Jill Roadman; and poetry
from Jennifer Tatroe, Jennifer Jerome, Robert E. Wood, Pat Tompkins,
M. Frost, Liz Gallagher, and Lon Prater.

In our Editor's Corner, Michael S. McKluskey reveals his inner
curmudgeon, and popular flash fiction guru Michael L. Wilson offers
some techniques to improve your brain. Several staff make
recommendations for books, CDs, and DVDs in our "May We Suggest"
section, and Pamelyn Casto has scheduled her next flash fiction class
for January. We know that sounds like a long time off, but Pam's
classes fill quickly, so if you want to get into her January class,
don't wait 'til January to sign up.

If you have thoughts or suggestions about how we can improve
flashquake, please don't hesitate to direct them to
letters@flashquake.org. We can't guarantee we'll implement all of
them, but we will give them careful consideration.

Have a great fall, and for those of you in the U. S., enjoy your
Labor Day holiday weekend.

Sincerely,

Debi Orton, Publisher
