Pricing issue forces company to alert consumers

Rising Star Games advised consumers who purchase from the Xbox Live Games on Demand service today that they should temporarily avoid buying the game Deadly Premonition due to a pricing issue.

Deadly Premonition

The game was originally supposed to be released with a UK price tag of £14.99, but it is currently set at £19.99. RSG announced that "there has been some discrepancy with the cost of Deadly Premonition on Xbox Live and this problem is currently being rectified," and it followed with an apology for any inconvenience.

The Games on Demand service, released August 2009, allows gamers on Xbox Live to buy a selection of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games directly to their consoles, complete with an online manual via the Xbox.com website. Deadly Premonition became available on the service yesterday.

Affected users should contact their local Xbox Live Customer Service hotline for a possible difference refund, and a further apology. We will bring you more news as we get it.
