NoA President Reggie Fils-Aime says that strong European sales might lead to North American release

For thousands of North American Wii owners, Operation Rainfall has been a beacon of hope in the continual effort to bring three Japanese and European RPGs to the states. Despite Nintendo of America’s previous statements regarding the fate of these titles, fans may have a new reason to start believing again that they'll be seen in the states.

NoA President Reggie Fils-Aime has said the North American release of Xenoblade may still be possible “if business opportunities are there.”

"We will be watching very closely what happens in Europe," he said of the game. "Certainly if there are business opportunities and positive consumer uptake from some of those titles, that will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles."

While this doesn’t exactly spell out a confirmed release date for Xenoblade, it does add little hope that a North American release may be on the way soon.

Operation Rainfall’s official Facebook page has continuously informed its members of how important the European sales are to the eventual North American release. The group has urged its members, both European and non-European alike, to pre-order Xenoblade.

“I’m telling you people. If we don’t help Europe attain enough sales, we will never see the game here,” says an official post from Operation Rainfall.
