Ninja Gaiden Makes a Move Toward Motion Controls on PS3

At Gamescon 2011, Tecmo Koei and Team NINJA announced that the PlayStation 3 version of Ninja Gaiden III will be compatible with PlayStation Move. It is the first time in franchise history that the action series will have motion controls. Team NINJA says the new control option will give players an edge while running and slicing their way through hoards of enemies.

“Ninja Gaiden III is all about slicing and chopping through flesh and bone, and PlayStation Move bring players even closer to the game’s protagonist Ryu Hayabusa,” said Yosuke Hayashi, leader of Team NINJA. “The game will be compatible with all Move peripherals, and it will feature full compatibility with this exciting new hardware.”

Ninja Gaiden III is set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012. A version is also being planned for Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Wii U.
