Rumor: Dead Space 3 Unintentionally Confirmed
Eagle-eyed viewers of an Israeli news show may have accidentally revealed the existence of the newest sequel to the popular Dead Space franchise.
According to a reader of IGN, Israeli news show “The Headlines” was taking a tour of EA's Redwood Shores office to talk about the future and evolution of video games. During the segment, a quick shot of B-roll revealed not only a logo for Dead Space 3 but a wall of concept art as well.
While EA has made an official statement that there are no announcements regarding the Dead Space franchise at this time, the previous installments and spin-offs have done well enough both critically and commercially to justify a sequel.
Take this with a grain of salt, but it does appear to be legitimate. However, the Dead Space series has been normally handled by Visceral Games, not Redwood Shores. As with all rumors, the jury is still out until an official announcement is made or the rumor is debunked.
